Department: Inpatient Addiction Recovery Services
Location: 20 Cottage Street; Potsdam, NY 13676
Hours Per Week: ย 37.5
Schedule: ย 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. including every other weekend

SUMMARY:
This position requires someone with compassion for those in early recovery from addiction. The successful candidate will be a role model, will help participants learn and put into practice healthy coping skills, will demonstrate sober activities, assist nursing as requested (retrieve patients, get supplies, monitor milieu, etc.). The successful candidate will have the ability to set and enforce boundaries for self and the group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Healthy/sober engagement with participants (games, cards, projects, Active listening, etc.)
- Assist with monitoring cameras, participate in investigating unexpected events/behaviors, ensure communication regarding unexpected events.
- Serve meals, monitor art/craft supply use, inspire creativity in times of boredom

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

PAY RANGE:
$18.46 - $26.24The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
