Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, technically minded Civil Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience to join our team in applying engineering skills to a variety of challenging projects. We are looking for someone with experience that ranges from civil design projects through construction.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Expected Base Salary: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00, salary is based on experience.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
• Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Certified Civil Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.)
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the design of commercial, office, mixed-use, multi-family residential, education, municipal, and/or Federal projects
• Strong technical skills in site layout, grading and drainage, and site utility design
• Technical experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, technical studies, mapping documents, preparation and processing of public improvement and grading plans, and earthwork calculations
• Ability to prepare Hydrology Studies, Stormwater Quality Management Plans (SWQMPs), and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)
• Experience working in the City and County of San Diego preferred
• Experience coordinating with a multi-discipline design team
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces and pipe networks
• Specification preparation experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
