The German European School Singapore (GESS) is looking for expressions of interest for the position of
Relief Pre-School Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities:
· To take part in all aspects of school life
· To be enthusiastic and passionate when working with children
· To work in collaboration with the class teacher, parents and children, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
· To develop respectful relationships with children, parents and teachers
· To be responsible and accountable for the supervision of children at all times
· Plan and prepare classroom activities, portfolios and school events with classroom teacher
· Ability to work with parents and other members of the school community
· Assist in the routine care of children, parents, community and colleagues
Requirements:
· Preferably Diploma in Early Education
· Experience working with children aged between 2 and 6 years old
· Must be proficient in English - spoken & written language - as the class will be conducted in English
· Availability to work on an ad hoc basis
· Have an engaging and charismatic disposition with a passion and talent to work with young children
· Must have experience in teaching hands-on and inquiry lead approaches as well as in a play-based curriculum
· The ability to approach people in a friendly and welcoming manner
· Must demonstrate strong work ethics & possess a positive working attitude and be a great team player
