Job Description

To lead the credit services delivery for Wealth International (WIN) retail segments across jurisdictions, develop and implement strategic plans and set targets for the team to achieve business objectives, meet customer expectations and grow market share. To manage a complex portfolio of assets across multiple jurisdictions and currencies to commerciality and mitigate associated risks for WIN lending. To be a voting member of the Offshore Credit Committee and opine on new and existing facilities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: 

  • First Degree in Business Commerce (Required)
  • Post Graduate Degree in Banking (Preferred)
  • Post Graduate Degree in Finance and Accounting (Preferred)

Experience Required :

  • 3 - 4 years experience
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of the KYC/AML framework across the markets we operate in. Sound understanding of the cross border legal framework across our strategic target markets Infrastructure. Have a good understanding of systems and utilise them to deliver superior service to clients. Be able to embrace change and open to using new systems to improve client experience.
  • 5 - 7 years experience
  • The role requires holistic banking and lending management experience including multi-currency knowledge, strong credit, risk and analytical skills, working knowledge of land and securities law and offshore fiduciary markets in the applicable jurisdictions. Sound understanding of the compliance and governance framework of international markets.

Key Outputs :

  • Annual reviews take place on every facility in line with the appropriate Regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of the Wealth International strategy for and develop linked objectives for the function, in order to ensure alignment with the overall Wealth strategy.
  • Develop and implement the annual lending strategy, cascading it into execution plans and communicating the targets and KPI's for all the products to ensure commercial optimisation of lending business across applicable jurisdictions.
  • Ensure effective monitoring and control of commercial risk exposures and adherence to credit policies as a member of the WIN Business Acceptance Forum, in conjunction with the credit risk function, to identify and manage potential and/or existing high-risk situations and act accordingly to protect the bank’s position ensure that annual reviews are undertaken al every facility in line with the Banks requirements.
  • Identify and resolve non-routine / complex and escalated problems including resolving conflicting policy / procedural issues in line with the defined delegation of authority to provide timely solutions to wealth manager, relationship managers and clients.
