Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical power lines in compliance with industry standards.
- Perform inspections and troubleshoot electrical faults on power lines and equipment.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment safely to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to minimize risks on job sites.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and other team members to ensure project completion.
- Operate vehicles and equipment such as bucket trucks and cranes safely and effectively.
- Document work performed and report any issues or concerns promptly.
- Respond to emergency outages and perform repairs as required in a timely manner.
- Relevant certification or qualification as a Linesman or Power Line Technician.
- Proven experience working as a Linesman or in a similar electrical utility role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety protocols, and power line installation techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different job sites as required.
