Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of Pipefitters, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety regulations.
- Plan and coordinate piping installation activities based on project specifications and deadlines.
- Review blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements and resource allocation.
- Perform hands-on pipefitting work as needed while overseeing team operations.
- Inspect completed installations for quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, implementing safety measures and practices.
- Provide regular training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in pipefitting or plumbing is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pipefitter, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or chargehand role.
- Strong technical knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications in pipefitting.
