Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach of Women’s Track & Field, Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country programs will assist in all aspects of the cross-country and track and field programs as part of the Athletics Department. These areas include, but are not limited to, recruiting, preparing training/practice plans, team travel arrangements, and competition planning and preparation. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and communication skills, demonstrate a philosophy that emphasize academic priorities for student-athletes, as well as a commitment to the growth of the Endicott community. The Assistant Coach, Women’s Track & Field/Men’s & Women’s Cross-Country will ensure an understanding and adherence to NCAA Division III principles and Endicott College’s mission statement.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in organizing and administering all phases of the Cross Country/Track & Field Programs (50%)
- Commit to student-athlete growth and development towards academic success
- Assist in programming training, practice planning, and competition planning.
- Assist with all team operations and administrative duties.
- Assist with coordinating travel logistics including rentals and hotels.
- Retention of quality student-athletes
Recruiting (40%)
- Communicate with prospective student-athletes via email, phone calls, and on-campus visits
- Attend high school competitions to meet with prospective student-athletes
- Maintain an organized recruiting system to ensure streamline communication between coaching staff and recruits
- Fulfill annual recruiting goals
Community Engagement (5%)
- Assist Institutional Advancement in efforts to increase athletics revenue and alumni engagement (Giving Day, Golf Tournament, and other fundraising efforts).
- Cultivate relationships with alumni through fundraising efforts, alumni events, and outreach.
- Attend department meetings and be an active member of the Endicott Athletic Department.
- Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.

Reporting Structure
Reports to the Head Coach, Women’s Track & Field/Men’s & Women’s Cross Country, and under general supervision of the Associate Director of Athletics and Director of Athletics.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3 years coaching experience at the college level.

- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Current adult CPR/AED certification.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $31,000–$33,000 Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
