The Assistant Professor of Nursing teaches courses for the Graduate Nursing Program. They also advise students, participate in accreditation processes; engage in professional scholarship or development, assist in the development of internship relationships and student opportunities, and participate in school and college-wide service. They will teach courses and advise students for two semesters.  

This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College. ECFA is a faculty union organized under the NEA (National Education Association) and provides structure and support for all full-time faculty at Endicott College. 

The Cummings School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking a dynamic, full-time DNP Faculty member passionate about shaping the next generation of healthcare executives and clinical experts. As a vital educator in our growing Doctor of Nursing Practice program, you will leverage your expertise in healthcare leadership and clinical inquiry to teach advanced courses in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. In this pivotal role, you will directly influence patient outcomes by championing Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives within our curriculum. This is a year round position.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Teach 24 credits per academic year -- 12 credits in both the fall and spring semesters (4 lecture courses each semester, or equivalent).

  • Advise up to 25 students. 

    Attend department, school, and college meetings. 

  • Participate in accreditation processes. 

    Engage in professional development, scholarship, research, and/or publishing. 

  • Assist in curriculum development.  

  • Participate in department, school, and college service. 

  • Maintain and post regular office hours.  

  • Perform other duties as required and as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College. 

  • Participate in course development and implementation. 

  • Evaluate teaching/learning activities 

  • Participate in governance, including the School of Nursing All School Committee and other committees as appointed  

Requirement / Qualifications

  • A doctorate in Nursing or a related field is required

  • Must have or be eligible for RN licensure in Massachusetts

  • Hold at least one graduate degree in nursing in the area of specialization required for the faculty appointment

  • 3-5 years of experience in the related field of nursing

  • Prior teaching experience in a nursing program is desired

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse student body

  • Commitment to scholarship appropriate to the rank

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the compensation for this faculty position is established through the College’s contractual salary structure. Pay rates are set for each faculty rank and appointment type. This position carries a fixed annual salary of $98,602.12 for a 12-month appointment. This amount represents base salary only and does not include benefits or other forms of compensation.
