Mission statement / Job purpose:
• Assess, define and lead the deployment of the Physical Logistics processes & solutions to ensure outstanding service and optimum cost performance by sales and customer channel as per existing and future business needs.
• Actively support the development of functional Physical Logistics resources in terms of, expertise, skills and mind-set to optimize cost and service to our customers to create competitive gaps.
• Understand current and emerging Customer needs, targets and objectives and ensure alignment of Distribution plans to respond to excel in delighting our customers, including e-commerce.
Main accountabilities:
Organization and People
Provide your global & local teams with a clear guidance on vision, stakes, objectives and expected contribution required to meet business needs and customer expectations.
Support the Physical Logistics supply chain resources through regular communication, visits, functional leadership, targeted, coaching, feedback and adapted training programs.
Support and build with key stakeholders (with a focus on external customers) a climate of close and trusted cooperation enabling to embark on new improvement programs with success from the definition of the needs to execution of plans.
Anticipate and define the key improvement areas to maximize results for Galderma and align your direct and indirect organization behind these priorities to deliver short, mid and long-term targets.
Promote networking and lead “cross fertilization” programs between the members of your teams and within Galderma and external whenever it can achieve business benefits.
Promote the use the of technology and Information System to enhance agility, speed and visibility of the activities you are managing with a focus on External customers.
Cost and Customer Experience
Promote a global customer centric approach in all Distribution activities across business unit’s, divisions and other stakeholders
Seek solutions for optimizing and adapting our distribution to meet and exceed cost, service, quality and sustainability targets as required by customer channel, including replenishment e-commerce and digitalization of manual activities
Advocate the use of structurers, tools and or systems to maximize efficiency and the customer experience
Highlight the business opportunities for both Galderma and the Customer, in closer collaboration and working across company functions
Drive Supply Chain Customer efficiency programs - Cost to Serve, optimizing customer, bad goods allowances and supporting sustainability initiatives
Collaborate with Planning & Customer service Team in the definition and implementation of Customer Engagement Strategy to meet customer's needs
Physical Logistics Processes & Solutions
Ensuring a suitable distribution network and solutions are defined and support their implementation to meet current and future business needs
Ensure continuous improvement and commitment to our Safety, Health and Environment, ESG, Quality and CARE regulations and Best Practices. Impalement industry standards in physical logistic area (GS1).
Ensure that Galderma third party service providers are selected and chosen as per industry Best Practices
Ensure the compliance to Galderma Best practices in the operational management of third parties to comply to service, quality and cost criteria
Ensure transparency and reporting distribution costs and engage in corrective actions or projects to ensure optimum management of structural and variable costs

Required education / experience:
University degree in Business and/or Engineering or MBA is preferred.
Proven experience in Supply Chain Leadership roles, including managing both operational and strategic responsibilities with direct experience in serving customers and executing physical logistics.
Business partnering, stakeholder management, and hands‐on to get into the details if needed.
Strong team player with effective communication and People management skills
Fluency in English, other European languages are a plus.
