Job responsibilities

To work as an independent contributor in a sprint team developing, enhancing and maintaining Mission critical platform software.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with the development teams.
Build and nurture team at offshore, develop team strengths and improve upon their competency.
Be the Technical point of contact for the team.
Lead and Motivate team on future technologies.
Identify potential solutions for problems, Prototype the solution , create whitepaper/thesis.
Maintain integrity and work ethics within the team.
Help others to succeed.

Qualifications:

Hands on different stages of software verification life cycle.
Excellent understanding of system software concepts, binary executables, debug information, OS concepts.
Strong C programming skills, Embedded C, with good knowledge in Linux shell scripting, XML (Markup language).
Strong RTOS concepts with experience on working with Multicore/Multi-Threading using VxWorks, Lynxos.
Good knowledge in Device Driver verification.Good knowledge on processors and their architecture (ARM, PowerPC etc.).
Expertise with Software Configuration Management and Change Control Process (DOORS, JAMA, SVN, JIRA, GIT, Confluence etc.).
Experience in using embedded development tools, debuggers, JTAG, Lauterbach, and Analyzers.Knowledge on Python, Shell scripting, Batch files is an added advantage
Good to have exposure to ARINC 653, ARINC 665, AFDX software specification.Working knowledge on Agile methodologyProficiency in Quality audits process.
Good to have Development skill and knowledge.Much Desirable to have Avionics Domain Process, DO Guidelines, Coding standards.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree. Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
