How You Will Do It
- Lead, review and approve Sprinkler and Special Risk designs in line with LPCB, BS EN 12845, NFPA, FM Global and customer standards
- Ensure design programmes meet approval, fabrication and construction milestones
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to Design and Senior Design Engineers
- Review and approve design risk assessments and technical submissions
- Liaise with Sales, Contract Managers and site teams to resolve complex technical challenges
- Support project handovers from sales through design to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, processes and best practice
- Utilise 2D and 3D design tools to deliver coordinated, clash‑free designs
What We Are Looking For
- LPCB Basic and FHC qualification
- Strong fire suppression design expertise using LPCB rules, BS EN 12845, NFPA and FM Global standards
- Experience delivering complex or high‑value projects
- Advanced AutoCAD skills
- Experience using 3D design software such as Revit and Navisworks
- Ability to provide technical leadership and make sound engineering decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Experience producing design specifications, presentations and contractual documentation
- Full UK driving licence
• Experience designing special risk projects
• BIM experience
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
