The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting is responsible for leading the research, analysis, and implementation of complex accounting matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with evolving accounting standards.Job Description and Requirements
Key ResponsibilitiesĀ
Technical Accounting & PolicyĀ Ā
Research and interpret complex accounting guidance (e.g., revenue recognition,Ā software capitalization,Ā leases, stock-based compensation,Ā investments,Ā business combinations, debt/equity instruments)Ā Ā
Draft andĀ maintainĀ accounting memos and policiesĀ Ā
Lead implementation of new accounting standards andĀ assessĀ impact to the businessĀ Ā
Transaction SupportĀ Ā
ProvideĀ accounting guidance for significant or non-routine transactions (e.g., acquisitions, restructurings, financing arrangements)Ā Ā
Support due diligence efforts onĀ potential acquisition targetsĀ
Manage acquisition accounting and related valuationsĀ
Support andĀ monitorĀ equity investmentsĀ
Partner with Legal on deal structuringĀ Ā
Audit & ComplianceĀ Ā
Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors on technical accounting mattersĀ Ā
Support SOX compliance and internal control initiatives related to technical accounting areasĀ Ā
Month End CloseĀ Ā
SupportĀ month end close tasks including reviewing journal entriesĀ and reviewing reconciliationsĀ
Leadership & Process ImprovementĀ Ā
Manage and develop a team (if applicable)Ā Ā
Drive process improvements and enhance documentation standardsĀ Ā
Provide training to accounting and finance teams on new policies and standardsĀ Ā

QualificationsĀ
Bachelorās degree in Accounting or FinanceĀ (CPAĀ required)Ā Ā
6+ years of relevant experience (public accounting + industry experience preferred)Ā Ā
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAPĀ requirementsĀ Ā
Experience with complex accounting areasĀ Ā Ā
Proven ability to research and document technical accounting positionsĀ Ā
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skillsĀ Ā
Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadershipĀ Ā
Ā
Preferred QualificationsĀ
Big 4 or national public accounting firm experienceĀ Ā
Experience in a publicly traded or high-growth companyĀ Ā
Exposure to ERP systems (e.g.,Ā Workday) and financial reporting toolsĀ Ā

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.
The expected salary range for this role is between following values:
$126,000 and $190,000The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.Ā
