About this role

Job Title:

Post Doctoral Fellow, Brief Therapy

Department:

Clinical Psychology (Stephanie Felgoise)

FLSA:

United States of America (Exempt)

Location:

Philadelphia Campus

The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is excited to announce the offering of a 1-year (12-month) postdoctoral position in the Center for Brief Therapy and Interprofessional Education Program, with a targeted start date of July 1, 2026 with flexibility to start later.

Post-Doctoral Position: The equivalent of two days per week will be in working with the Director of Interprofessional Education (IPE) - Philadelphia Campus and team on the teaching, administration, advancement and expansion of the IPE program and IPE research.  Research initiatives include the interprofessional study of quality of life of persons undergoing kidney dialysis and their caregivers, which will provide clinical contact hours. A variety of program evaluation and IPE research data is also approved by the IRB for data analysis. A hybrid work schedule will be established.

Three days of this position are spent engaged in the Assessment Services within the PCOM Psychological Services (PPS), providing direct service, consultation, and supervision to psychology practicum students and interns providing psychological and neuropsychological assessment services to the community. In preparation for independent practice, this position will involve involvement  and supervision of administrative functions (e.g., scheduling, marketing, presentations, billing, etc.), all under the supervision of the licensed psychologist. As a part of the Assessment Services involvement, the post-doctoral fellow will be involved in the development of didactic training for other students in the PPS as it relates to psychological and neuropsychological assessment.

This is an ideal position for a graduate who is interested in blending IPE with psychological and neuropsychological assessment skills with the goal of ultimately working in an interdisciplinary medical setting. This is not a position for a graduate who wants to pursue only a clinical neuropsychology post-doctoral training pathway which would require a two-year training experience focused exclusively on neuropsychology. There is also an opportunity for training involvement with other departments in the medical school (e.g., Biomedical sciences).

The development of a research project and/or support of additional projects are expected in collaboration with or under the supervision of a core faculty member to take place in the clinical setting. The three clinical days are expected to be on-site with some flexibility; the two IPE days will permit for a hybrid work schedule, totaling one virtual work day most weeks.

Position Requirements:

Candidate must hold a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-Accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship, or expect to have the degree conferred prior to the start of the position.

How to Apply:

Applicants should submit: (1) a brief letter describing their educational background, (2) a curriculum vita, and (3) two letters of reference if the applicant graduated from a doctoral program other than PCOM’s Clinical PsyD program.

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
