Software Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Support Engineer with 5+ years of experience in finance and business systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and academic exposure to financial processes and enterprise systems such as Oracle Fusion Financials and Salesforce Billing.

This role requires strong analytical skills, system understanding, and the ability to collaborate across global teams to support and enhance financial business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support for financial systems, including Oracle Fusion Financials and Salesforce Billing
• Support business users in areas such as:
  • Order-to-Cash processes
  • Invoicing and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Revenue recognition and financial reporting
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, development, finance, and operations) to resolve issues and implement improvements
• Monitor system integrations and ensure smooth end-to-end data flow across business systems
• Participate in system enhancements, testing, and validation activities
• Document support processes, issue resolutions, and system changes
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Required Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Master of Commerce (M.Com), or Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Strong understanding of financial accounting concepts and business processes

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience or exposure to:
  • Oracle Fusion Financials
  • Salesforce Billing or similar billing platforms
• Understanding of business system users and how they interact with systems to meet organizational goals
• Familiarity with:
  • Order flows and billing processes
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL)
  • Revenue management and reporting
• Exposure to system integrations and enterprise application landscapes
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
