Training Officer
About this role
To make all training arrangements as required and assist the Senior Cadet and Training Officer as and when required.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. To maintain an effective system for monitoring the valid status of crew certificates on crew database.
2. To ensure all training requests/enquiries received are in accordance with client instruction or matrix, otherwise approval to be sought from the client.
3. Ensure a Training Bonds issued to AE personnel attending training when required.
4. Maintain status of course details in relevant spreadsheet
5. Liaise with Marine HR, travel agent and crew members, arrange travel/logistics for training / cadets.
6. Be familiar with STCW and certification requirements and share any update on new legislation
7. Complete audits of training centres, attend client meeting and after hours coverage as required.
8. Promote and comply with the company’s “Health, Safety and Environmental Policy” plus any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Management of the company.
Knowledge & Experience:
Education: Minimum of Five National 5 or equivalent (qualifications) including English and Mathematics or relevant experience gained in a similar role and/or environment
Experience: Previous similar office-based role
Specific Business Knowledge: Shipping/Crewing knowledge preferred
