Job Summary
This position replaces a retiring tenure-track faculty member. It is a full-time role with a primary responsibility of teaching three 4-credit Sociology courses per semester, along with some limited departmental service work as needed (e.g., some student advising, program promotion, etc.).
Authority and Accountability
This position reports to the Chair of the Sociology Department and has no direct reports or budget authorization responsibility.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- M.A. in Sociology or Ph.D. in closely related social science
- Experience teaching Sociology
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Sociology, or ABD
- Ability to teach a range of Sociology courses
Additional Job Information:
The position is a Contingent II, full-time, exempt position.
