About this role

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operating the automated the vision inspection systems and directing their support staff while ensuring that procedures and Management direction are always followed. Managing workflow in department to ensure efficient utilization of equipment. Directing team members activities to attain department goals in production, cleanliness, and accuracy.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Operate automated vision equipment.

·      Maintain and upkeep quality data collection systems.

·      Maintain and modify product lay down area as needed.

·      Prepare inspected product for auditing and warehousing.

·      Perform routine APCO changes on automated vision equipment.

·      O-Ring packaging and warehousing.

·      Coordinate work of team members and product scheduling.

·      Ensure team members are adhering to applicable Work Instructions.

·      Perform Quality tours to ensure machines are performing efficiently and effectively; make corrections to any issues identified. Ensure any changes follow department procedures including product containment.

·      Converse with teams from other shifts to ensure smooth transition.

·      Perform other duties as required or requested.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Must be capable of self-supervision and directing support team members.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·      High school graduate; and 1 to 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Must have knowledge of computer use including but not limited to MS Word, Excel and SAP.

·      Must be self-motivated and have capable of scheduling day’s commitments.

·      Must be able to read, write and speak in English.

·      Must be have math skills.

·      Must have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to be able to effectively communicate and reason with a group to coordinate projects.

·      Must possess problem-solving and technical skills.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·      Work environment consists of manufacturing area which may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, rubber smells, moving parts and chemicals.  Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock.

·      Exposure to loud noise levels for up to 2/3 of the time.
